India has a rich tradition of Handwoven Textiles. This industry employs the second largest number of our population after Agriculture. But sadly, machine or mill woven cheaper products lure customers and the Handloom sector is slowly losing buyers.
O Hansini aims to make customers aware of our local handloom sarees from different parts of India. We source directly from the weavers at a fair price so that we can be a very small part of the process of “ Revival of Handloom” in India.

A personal Experience: Long Before we started O Hansini, I visited many Handloom Exhibitions for the love of Handwoven Sarees and Dupattas. I bought many sarees from there. Some were at a very low price. I was so happy that I struck “Great Deal” by going to these exhibitions. I wore those sarees with joy as I contributed to the upliftment of the weaver society. When I started my research on Handwoven Sarees and met weavers around the country, I realised that few Sarees I had bought at these so called “Handloom Exhibitions” were neither handwoven nor made of natural fibres! I felt cheated and sad. I realised that the exhibitions were not a place to buy authentic handwoven stuff.
On our Website, we sell both Handwoven and Mill Woven Sarees and Dupattas to cater to all customers but we specifically mention that in Product Details. We aim to build a Bond of trust with the customers and give them the best products at affordable prices. We also wish a happy life for our weavers and hope that their next generation continues the heritage of handloom weaving!
